"Ayuervedic pro-age organic exfoliating water with aloe vera juice and hydrolat for face and hair care. Rich in active ingredients with soothing, antioxidant and toning effects, it is designed for the face and ideal for moisturising, exfoliating and cleansing the scalp.

Contains Ayurvedic extracts of triphala, tulsi and jasmine, selected for their toning, antibacterial and cleansing effects. The exfoliating effect is provided by the alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) such as tartaric acid, lactic acid and citric acid. The action is non-aggressive thanks to a formula balanced with moisturising, soothing and calming active ingredients such as chamomile, aloe vera and hamamelis.

This water is used after cleansing to replenish moisture and prepare the skin for subsequent treatments.

Used after shampooing the scalp, it has a cleansing and exfoliating effect.

Particularly recommended for combination and oily skin, but also suitable for sensitive skin.

Rasayana has named this product 'Ayurvedic water' because water is associated with the concept of hydration. In reality, these products do not contain added water (other than that which is naturally present in plant extracts). Instead, they contain aloe vera and hydrolates, which depend on water for their action. Pro-age Ayurvedic Waters are moisturising thanks to the double molecular weight of hyaluronic acid (low and medium), betaine and saccharide isomerate, active ingredients known to keep the skin hydrated without weighing it down.

Usage:

* Massage the water into cleansed skin with a cotton pad or fingers.

* Apply it to the scalp after shampooing.

Tips for use:

Use the product instead of toner after daily cleansing to provide moisture to the skin. Massage lightly to help absorption.

As a hair lotion: after shampooing, spray the product on the hair for soft and silky hair.

Use the product at any time of the day on the face and hair to tone and soften sensitive skin or in case of itching and seborrhoea.

Use once a day, preferably in the evening. Do not expose skin or hair to the sun after use.

Note: The cream may shift sideways and form a 'hole' when transported. Don't worry, there is no shortage of product! This is normal as the aluminium jar can hold up to 70 ml, but the cream is 60 ml, so the contents do not reach the edge of the jar and the cream may shift sideways during transport.

Inspiration:

Pro-age Ayurvedic Waters' names Dhatri, Tulasi and Jati are inspired by a Hindu myth relating to the plants Amla (also known as Dhatri), Tulasi (better known as Tulsi) and Jasmine (known as Jati). According to legend, the god Vishnu fell madly in love with Vrinda (or Tulasi), the demon's faithful wife. The gods therefore asked the goddesses Lakshmi, Gauri and Swadha to intervene and bring Vishnu to his senses. The tree goddesses gave the gods a seed each to plant at the spot where Vishnu was entranced by Vrindha. From the seed grew the plants of Amla, Tulsi and Jasmine, who turned into three beautiful women. They captivated Vishnu with their beauty and made him forget Vrindha. The three of them then turned back into the plants of Amla, Tulsi and Jasmine. This myth shows the divine origin of these plants. It also says that Amla, Tulsi and Jasmine are so useful that their power can impress even a god. Inspired by this story, which places so much importance on these three precious plants, Rasayana has decided to include antioxidant-rich Amla, Tulsi and Jasmine extracts in the formulas of its three pro-age ayurvedic waters, which will delight the skin of those who try them.
