Pure KTC castor oil is ideal for skin and hair care and massages.

Castor oil comes from the seeds of the castor tree or Ricinus communis. The oil is clear to yellowish in colour and viscous.

Castor oil is non-toxic and does not contain the toxic ricin found in the seeds. It has been used medicinally in Egypt since ancient times. It has also been used as fuel for oil lamps. It was also common in ancient Greece as an internal and external medicine.

In the Middle Ages, castor oil was mainly used only as a fuel.

It has been used as a laxative since the 18th century.

Nowadays, castor oil is produced in large quantities for cosmetic, medical and industrial uses.

In the cosmetic field, castor oil is known for its good results in the treatment of skin problems (e.g. age spots, warts) and in the care of hair, eyebrows and eyelashes.

Important: Before using castor oil, a small allergy test should be carried out, as the oil can cause redness and inflammation in some people.

Simply apply a little castor oil to the inside of your forearm and wait a little while for the skin to react before using.
