Rice bran oil is extracted from the germ and inner husk of rice. It is high in fatty acids, rich in Omega 3 and 9 acids, vitamin E and gamma-rhizanol. Rice bran oil has been used for centuries to cleanse, soften, moisturise, soothe, nourish and smooth the skin.

The rich nutrient composition of this nourishing oil is known to support proper blood circulation, improve skin colour and tone. It also helps to reduce dark circles and puffiness around the eyes, leaving the skin looking brighter and more radiant. The gifts of ferulic acid and esters have the potential to stimulate hair growth and overall hair health.

Recommendations for use:

This organic rice bran oil can be used in skin care products or on its own. Suitable for all skin types, but particularly useful for dehydrated, flaky, sensitive, mature or fragile skin or thinning hair. Can be used in most skin care products, including facials, soaps, massage oils and other body care and cosmetic products.

For use on the skin - apply a few drops to the entire face daily or as needed, alone or after water-based treatments. Use only as directed on intact skin.

Hair - Apply a few drops to hair to nourish and add shine.

Nourishing mask for dry skin with rice bran oil:

Mash 1/2 banana with a fork or mash with a masher. Add a tablespoon of oat flour, 2 teaspoons of rice bran oil and 1 egg yolk.

Mix well and apply to a clean face. Leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes. Then remove with a damp cloth and rinse with warm water.

Special precautions and warnings: Do not use on people who are intolerant to this oil. Do not use orally. Jojoba oil contains erucic acid, which can cause serious side effects such as heart problems.
