Shatavari (stiff asparagus) is one of the main rejuvenating elixirs of women-rasayan, a plant that helps to strengthen the reproductive organs, normalize the functions of the hormonal and immune systems and reduce infertility. The properties of Shatavari have long been used in Ayurvedic and Tibetan medicine.
Shatavari soothes and lightens Vata dosha as well as Pita.
Method of use:
For internal use (according to Ayurvedic treatises): to maintain normal functioning and prevent diseases of the female reproductive system: mix 0.5-1 g of powder with a cup of warm milk or water, drink 2-3 times a day. You can add honey.
Externally:
As a face and body mask: dilute the powder with hot water to a creamy consistency, cool and apply for 10-15 minutes. Then rinse with warm water.
To restore breast tone after childbirth and lactation: boil shatavari with boiling water (1 teaspoon in 100 ml of water), strain, mix the broth with natural melted butter ghi, cool. Perform a light breast massage once a day for 5 minutes, then rinse with warm water.
Contraindications: Not recommended for benign mammary gland tumors and with caution in severe hormonal disorders. In case of severe diseases, it is recommended to consult an Ayurvedic doctor. In addition, use in excess toxins and slag (amos) is not recommended.
